No team from India have yet won a medal (Gold or Silver or Bronze) at ICPC World Finals. India became a prominent figure in ICPC from 2010 as at least one team from India have secured a rank from 2010 to 2019.

Due to visa issue, several teams were unable to present onsite, in which the affected schools are allowed direct qualifications for ICPC 2018 besides the usual qualification spots. The winner was ITMO University.

What do ICPC winners get?
The World Champion team will be awarded $15,000. Each of the other three Gold Medal teams will be awarded $7,500. Each Silver Medal team will be awarded $6,000. Each Bronze Medal team will be awarded $3,000.

How many times can I participate in ICPC?
ACM/ICPC is a team-based competition with certain requirements to the participants: only post-secondary students and first-year post-graduate students no older than 24 are eligible; each team consists of three members. One can participate in the finals no more than twice and in the regionals no more than five times.
How can I participate in ICPC?
To meet the basic eligibility requirements for the contest you must be:
- Willing and able to compete in the world finals.
- Enrolled in a degree program at an institution (in or outside India) that can sponsor you.
- Competing only for one institution for the calendar year.
How many teams are selected for ICPC World Finals?
Based on their performance in Regional Contests, top-ranking teams advance to the International Collegiate Programming Contest World Finals. Additional high-ranking teams may be invited to the World Finals. At most 140 teams will be invited to compete onsite.
