What is the difference between Hive 1 and hive 2?
Active Heating 2 is the successor to Hive’s first, rather basic-looking system. As well as being nicer to look at, Hive has been expanding the system’s capabilities, with sensors, smart lighting and even cameras now feeding into the single app.
How do I manually use the Hive thermostat?

Worth nothing that the V3 offers no tangible difference to the V2 other than a tiny change to the white plastic casing on the receiver and hub. Do not buy as an “upgrade” as you will be disappointed. “

How do I turn my heating on with Hive?
Press the Heating Boost button on top of the thermostat to turn the heating on for one hour. Press the Heating Boost button again to increase the length of your boost. Turn the dial to change the boost temperature (it’s set to 22°C by default). When the boost finishes, your heating will go back to its previous mode.
Does Hive learn like Nest?
If you want to control more rooms, you have to buy additional thermostats. One of the significant differences between Hive v Nest is that Hive doesn’t learn your heating routine as Nest does. Settings are changed manually. The advantage of this is you have more control and flexibility over your heating.
