Is Whispbar discontinued?
The Whispbar line was discontinued in North America in the Fall of 2016. We are no longer listing new fits or stocking fit kits for clip style systems. We are continuing with the Rail and FlushBar systems, now under the Yakima name. We continue releasing new fits for these bars.

Hold adjusting screw in and slide crossbar in or out as required. Ensure each end of the crossbar is adjusted equally. To fit roof rack to vehicle, refer to Fitting Kit instructions. Tighten adjusting screw to 5 Nm (3.7 ft lb).

Does the whispbar HD mount on the Nissan Versa?
I got the whispbar HD because I haul all manner of inappropriately large or heavy items with my Nissan Versa. It has certainly facilitated this bad behavior on numerous trips to the hardware store. I will say it mounts the minimum recommended safe distance on the Nissan Versa (as in the front bar is pretty close to the back bar).
Does whispbar work with Toyota 4Runners?
Whispbar’s website is poorly organized when it comes to Toyota 4Runners. The Trail and the regular package 4Runners have different rails (apparently), but the selection drop-down menu has the two vehicles dozens of entries apart. Thus, until you make the mistake I did, you could be forgiven for thinking this system fits ALL 4Runners. It does not.
