All staff at Texas NeuroRehab Center that interact with the children and adolescents are trained in Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA), and are recertified every six months. The Satori method aims to prevent aggression from becoming harmful.

SAMA (Satori Alternatives for Managing Aggression) meets all critical attributes as defined in TBSI (Texas Behavior Support Initiative) for verbal and physical de-escalation. SAMA teaches least restrictive, safe ways to help manage a student in CRISIS until the student can regain control.
