How much can you earn before losing Centrelink payments?
We’ll start to reduce your payment if your income is more than $150 a fortnight. Your payment will reduce by 50 cents for each dollar of income you have between $150 and $250. If your income is over $250, your payment will reduce by 60 cents for each dollar of income over $250.

If you have savings or other ‘liquid assets’ over $5 500 you will have up to a maximum of 13 weeks to serve a “Liquid Assets Waiting Period”. That is, your first payment will be delayed. Make sure you apply as soon as possible so that you can start serving any waiting period sooner rather than later.
