What is Polyhemp rope?
Polyhemp rope is a weatherproof rope that will not shrink in length or expand in diameter when wet. As it is made from polypropylene it has the hard wearing qualities of a synthetic rope whilst retaining the look and feel of a natural hemp rope.

How strong is Polyhemp rope?
This rope has an approximate breaking strain of 300kg. * PLEASE NOTE – All tensile break strength tests are carried out to ensure that product & manufacturing processes are being met. These tests are not a certification for the product when it is to be used in a lifting or pulling process.
What happens to hemp rope when it gets wet?
When natural fibres come into contact with water (rain, dew, immersion, humidity etc) the fibres absorb water causing them to swell. The expansion of the width of the fibre causes the length to shrink.
Does decking rope shrink?
As with all natural fibre ropes please note it will shrink between 6 & 10% when wet , then when it dries it will revert to it’s original length.
How do you fix rope to decking posts?
