Why has my Sims family disappeared?
There’s unfortunately a fatal issue where if you load a save with certain outdated mods, it culls Sims, and if you save the game afterwards, they’re gone for good.
How do you duplicate a family on Sims?
First, let’s make sure you’re using the correct steps to save the household.
- Go into Edit Town.
- Click on your household (green icon).
- Click on the button that looks like a file folder and says “Save to Library” when you hover over it.
- Select to save “Household with House” on the next screen.

Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup. After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin. Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again.
