Should I use PPPoE or PPPoA?
PPPoA is ever so slightly faster than PPPoE as PPPoA has 8 fewer bytes of overhead in every 1500 byte packet. Most users do not notice the difference which works out to be about one-half of one percent. Using PPPoA does avoid the Maximum Transfer Unit (MTU) issue.

What WAN connection type should I use?
WAN > Connection Type. A Dynamic type of connection is the most common. If you use a cable modem, then most likely you will have a dynamic connection. If you have a cable modem or you are not sure of your connection type, use this.
Does FTTP use PPPoE?
